As the release date for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 inches closer, the game's developer, Saber Interactive, and its publisher, Focus Entertainment, keep dialing up the excitement. They have just dropped another exciting gameplay video that gives a glimpse into the numerous armaments in this forthcoming third-person shooter.

This video spotlights the Heavy Bolter, a weapon that mirrors a powerful machine gun. According to the footage, it proves extremely effective against vast hoards of Tyranids and heavily shielded foes. It's speculated that this will be the go-to weapon of choice when situations get dicey.

An earlier gameplay footage spotlighted another weapon - the fiercely melee-oriented Chainsword.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. The game recently achieved gold status.
